These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DBTool Chrome Extension ("Service") provided by Cavess UG (haftungsbeschränkt) ("we", "us", or "our").

By installing and using DBTool, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our Service.

1. Use of Service

1.1 License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use DBTool for viewing, querying, and editing database files on devices where you have properly installed the extension.

1.2 Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works from the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
• Attempt to circumvent any security features

2. Privacy and Data Processing

DBTool is designed with privacy in mind:

• All database processing occurs locally in your browser using WebAssembly
• No database data is uploaded to our servers
• We do not access or store your database files or queries
• All file operations happen entirely on your device

3. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The security and backup of your database files
• Ensuring you have the right to access and modify any databases you load into the Service
• Any data loss resulting from use of the Service
• Compliance with applicable data protection laws when processing personal data

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee that the Service will preserve data integrity or prevent data loss.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CAVESS UG (HAFTUNGSBESCHRÄNKT), ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service, which is zero (0) as DBTool is provided free of charge.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
